PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
Welcome to the prospective student portion of the Newhouse Master's Program Web Site!
THE NEWHOUSE EXPERIENCE is a unique and challenging chapter in hundreds of students' lives each year. "Why Newhouse?" To best answer this question, you, the prospective student, must look at all facets on the road to a Newhouse graduate degree.
The Newhouse program offers the highest quality classroom study, with small class sizes and exemplary instruction. The Newhouse faculty include the industry's sharpest minds from all areas of mass communications. Their expertise, regardless of curriculum, is at your fingertips. Classroom instruction pushes graduate students to new levels, elevating the academic experience in preparation for a career in communications.
The Newhouse School regularly draws some of the biggest names from pertinent fields to come and speak to students. As one of Syracuse University's 11 schools and colleges, Newhouse offers graduate students the benefits of a smaller home school within a larger university. Newhouse's location in Syracuse, New York, is a geographic hub for job hunters and recruiters from New York City, Boston, and Washington, D.C.
One of the Newhouse School's best assets is its alumni network, which is at the fingertips of all students. The Newhouse Career Development Center assists in finding internship opportunities and sponsors the Central New York Communications Consortium, an event that brings 50 or more national communications companies to recruit on campus. In addition to the valuable alumni who Newhouse graduate students encounter during their careers, the Newhouse School carries with it a highly respected reputation.
When considering all that Newhouse has to offer, the true question emerges: "Why not Newhouse?"
