International applicants must also complete Form SUIA in the application and provide the appropriate funding documents. A description of these documents can be found on that form.
Applicants to more than one program at Newhouse or SU must submit two separate application forms, pay two application fees, and provide two distinct personal statements. Other materials including transcripts and letters of recommendation can be duplicated. While we often have dual degree students in other colleges here at SU, we do not allow Newhouse students to complete more than one Newhouse master's program concurrently. So, if you are admitted to more than one Newhouse program, you must choose only one to pursue. You do, however, have the option of pursuing another program consecutively.
Internal dual degree applicants must fill out a Graduate Enrollment Internal Admission Application instead of the regular application. This form must be signed by your current department and submitted directly to the Graduate Records Office. In addition, you must submit a personal statement, resume, GRE scores, letter of recommendation from at least one faculty member in your current program, and copies of materials from your original application to SU that include transcripts from previous institutions and recommendation letters. The application deadline is the same for internal applicants, but an application fee is not required.
Review of applications generally begins in January and decisions will be made on or around March 15 for all applications received by the February 1 deadline. Applications received or completed after that deadline will only be reviewed on a space-available basis.
